Chief Executive, Absa Capital, Wealth and Investment Management
Nomkhita Nqweni currently serves as the Chief Executive of Absa Wealth and Investment, where she coordinates and advises on investments, wealth, fiduciary, banking, and credit solutions for the high net-worth clients of both Absa and Barclays on the African continent. She is also a member of the Absa Group Executive Committee, and chairs the Diversity and Inclusion Council for Barclays Africa.
Prior to joining Absa in 2010, she held various positions at Alexander Forbes, serving as an executive and a board member in various capacities.
Ms. Nqweni launched the Women in Focus mentorship program in 2006, which aims to support the growth of women’s leadership in the financial sector. She is also a member of the Ubuntu Education Fund Board of Directors, a Clinton-supported initiative that aids orphaned and vulnerable children in the townships of Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
