Ibu Nurhaida gained her engineering degree in textile chemistry from the Bandung Institute of Textile Technology, before adding an M.B.A. to her name following her studies at Indiana University – Bloomington in the U.S.
Ibu Nurhaida began her career at the Ministry of Finance in 1989. She served in a number of positions, including the Ministry’s Expert Staff for Policies and Regulations of Financial Services and Capital Market in 2011; Chairman of the Capital Market and Financial Companies Supervisory Agency from 2011 to 2012; and Member of Financial Services Authority’s (OJK) 2012 – 2017 Board of Commissioners and concurrently, Executive Chairman of Capital Market Supervisor.
She honed her skills at international institutions, including the Center for Creative Leadership in Colorado Spring, USA, where she attended Leadership Development Programmes in both 2014 and 2016. Ibu Nurhaida also participated in the 2010 International Institute on the Inspection and Oversight of Market Intermediaries, an annual conference held by the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C.
Ibu Nurhaida has won a number of recognitions, having been named one of the “71 Inspiring Indonesian Women” by Obsession Media Group in 2016, and one of the “99 Most Powerful Women” by Globe Asia in 2015. She is frequently invited to speak at international events and conferences.
