Ms. Schou-Zibell provides technical leadership on financial sector issues, including developing and maintaining sector policies, strategies, operational plans, and directional papers. She is particularly focused on expanding access to finance, and spearheading innovative projects using digital financial technology. In this role, Ms. Schou-Zibell has led finance sector projects in Central and West Asia that have been recognized for innovation, process, and impact. Such projects include credit lines to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and digital financial solutions to expand financial inclusion.
Ms. Schou-Zibell previously worked as Director for International Economic Policy at the Swedish Ministry of Finance, financial supervision and regulation expert at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority and the Swedish Central Bank, and as a consultant to the International Monetary Fund. She has extensive experience presenting in global and regional meetings, conferences, and workshops; engaging in policy dialogue and negotiations with governments and other stakeholders in relation to project processing; and policy dialogue and knowledge sharing.
Ms. Schou-Zibell conducted research at the London School of Economics, and received her Master’s in Economics from Lund University and her B.A. in International Relations and Affairs from George Mason University.
