Gisela Davico

For more than 15 years, Gisela Davico has been an advocate for the development of better policies for financial inclusion as strategies to achieve greater social wellbeing, by reaching out to more people and empowering them to fulfill their potential.

Davico has served in a wide variety of environments, ranging from field missions, to International Organizations, Financial Institutions, Governments, Service Providers at the Meso Level, and different Organizations –including the UN, World Bank, Universal Postal Union, Innovations for Poverty Action, Entrepreneurial Finance Lab, and PlaNet Finance, among others.

Currently, she is the Global Gender Lead and the Latin American and the Caribbean Regional Lead with the UN-based organization, Better Than Cash Alliance. In her role, she is working on making the Alliance’s interventions gender-intentional and assessing the potential digitization has to transform gender norms to effectively increase women’s economic participation.

She holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, a Masters in Latin American Studies from Salamanca University, and pursued studies in photography and documentary filmmaking.
