Jennifer McFarlane

Jennifer McFarlane is a board member of Blue Planet Systems Ltd, a private carbon sequestration company, TruTag Technologies, betteries AMPS GmbH, an EV battery recycling company, and Streamwise DI, a wastewater AI company. She is also the founder of Asterra Partners, which is developing an innovative revenue-based financing structure for climate tech companies.  Jennifer has had a long career as a C-level executive in both public and venture-backed companies and as an international investment banker. Most recently, she was CFO of NEXTracker, an affiliate of Flex (NASDAQ: FLEX) and the global leader in solar trackers. Prior executive positions include CFO of LanzaTech, a global leader in carbon recycling; CEO of Astia, an accelerator for women-led businesses and Executive Director of Southern Pacific Petroleum, an Australian public company.  Jennifer began her career as an international investment banker, including at Salomon Brothers, where she worked with both F500 companies and emerging market governments.  

Jennifer currently serves on board of Pacific Institute, which oversees the UN’s CEO Water Mandate; is an advisor to several climate tech accelerators and an active member of Toniic a global impact investment community. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a C3E Ambassador, a U.S. Department of Energy appointment.  Ms. McFarlane holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University and a LLB / BSc from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
