Women’s World Banking is looking for a Senior Product Manager/Strategic Business Analyst to join a forward thinking, cross-functional, high-performing, collaborative team focused on delivering innovative customer experiences, banking services and products, that create business and customer value to serve low-income women. S/He will use data, customer context, and business intelligence to build customer-centric products that solve business problems. S/He will recommend the scope of present and future product lines, define product objectives and requirements and assess market competition.

The ideal candidate has experience across banking and financial services products and services development (savings, loans, digital, insurance, Fintech, etc.). Must be a strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and propose new ideas for ways of engaging the target audience, and have experience applying data and business intelligence to drive business value. Projects may vary in number, size and complexity.

  • Support the discovery and development, and drive execution of high priority business initiatives, financial products, and services in developing countries for the organization’s strategic financial institution partners;
  • Develop business cases for new product and product enhancements to enable prioritization and justify investments into new and existing products;
  • Collect and analyze complex data;
  • Conduct periodic product performance reviews, monitor against goals and benchmarks;
  • Identify, scope and find implementation paths for needed product and/or customer experience enhancements;
  • Conduct and maintain industry assessments that provide detailed insights into the competitive landscape and best practices;
  • Prepare and deliver reports summarizing the overall health of a product, industry and competitive trends; and
  • Establish relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and customer needs, continually enhance project processes, service offering and delivery for partners.

  • Impeccable communication capabilities and instincts, understanding and applying formality or familiarity in appearance, speech and approach where appropriate;

Required Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in related field
  • 8-10+ years of data product experience in financial services industry
  • 3+ years of experience with Knowledge management for organization, discovery and inference
  • 3+ years of experience handling of streaming data and temporal analytics
  • Experience in human-centered design and research, finance, consulting, etc.;
  • Experience requesting and translating needs of research questions to various types of IT systems and reporting functions (some experience with SQL, Java or other reporting systems a plus);
  • Interest in the field of financial inclusion, including gender;
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within India and other developing countries; and
  • Fluency in English, a must. Fluency in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, and/or Rajasthani, a must. Spanish, Arabic and/or French a plus.

  • Understanding of data governance;
  • Clear, fast business communications expertise including written analysis, meeting management and presentations;
  • Collaborate with various partner teams to inform end customer experiences based on our data capabilities;
  • Proven collaborative, negotiation, and persuasion skills;
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience with and a level of comfort in working across departments;
  • Aptitude for a fast pace, results-oriented work environment;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; and
  • Ability to work with remote teams.
