Eva Johansson

Eva Johansson is Lead policy advisor for gender equality at Sida. Since 2019, Eva is co-chairing the OECD Development Assistance Committee’s network for gender equality (Gendernet). She has 25 years of experience from development cooperation, humanitarian assistance and international cooperation from Sida and the United Nations.

She has been UNFPA’s senior advisor for gender equality, rights and sustainable development in New York, and she has held managerial positions as Sida’s head of development cooperation for Afghanistan, Country director for UNICEF in Eritrea and Regional humanitarian advisor at the Embassy in Nairobi. Eva has held different positions as programme officer at Sida, the UNDP, and the Swedish civil emergency agency. Before her career in development and humanitarian assistance, Eva was university lecturer in management and business administration for four years and has worked in banking.

Eva has a MSc degree in Business Administration and Economics and is a Swedish national.
