Marina Dimova

Marina Dimova is the Managing Director of Design and Innovation at Women’s World Banking, the global nonprofit devoted to giving more low-income women access to the financial tools and resources they require to achieve security and prosperity. In this position, she focuses on transforming the strategic ideation and solution design processes of financial service providers and identifying and designing innovative financial solutions for women and girls. Marina is a designer with 12 years of experience developing, implementing and scaling innovative solutions to social problems. She uses insights from behavioral science and new technologies to build effective customer-centric products and services, and embed innovation into teams and organizations.

Previously,Marina was a Vice President at ideas42, where she designed, tested and scaled products, processes and programs in consumer finance, international development and financial inclusion. Her designs have focused on increasing the take-up and usage of financial products and improving the financial management behaviors of low-income clients. Before that, Marina led strategy for a social enterprise developing a youth employment program in West Africa. She has also worked on agricultural value chains and private sector development at the World Bank, and in finance and healthcare consulting.

Marina holds an MPA in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.A. in Economics and Government from Franklin & Marshall College.
