Ana Barerra

Ana is the co-founder and CEO of Aflore, a Latam based fintech with an innovative channel for giving access to financial products to the underbanked: a tech-enabled network of informal financial advisors. Aflore is a female-led financial inclusion channel: 75% of Informal Advisors are women who reach out to their trusted circles for offering loans and insurance products. Before starting Aflore Ana was Director of “Housing for All” at Ashoka, where she facilitated access to affordable housing for the population at the base of the pyramid.

Earlier in her career, Ana spent eight years in London working for Lehman Brothers and Nomura, structuring financial products for institutional clients. She started her career in Colombia, trading coffee and managing risk at Cafe de Colombia. She is a board member of Juan Valdez, Colombia’s leading premium coffee brand. Ana has an MBA from London Business School and a Bs in Business Administration from Universidad de los Andes.
