Women’s World Banking is seeking a freelance video producer to edit and shoot video on a per project basis. Shooting will not always be necessary, but when it is needed, international travel or travel to NYC may be required.

Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Women’s World Banking’s Knowledge and Communications Team to plan and execute short videos for promotional and informational purposes
  • Edit existing footage collected from the field with captions and royalty-free music as necessary
  • Be an active partner in creatively brainstorming ideas to maximize the impact of videos
  • Respond to feedback from the Women’s World Banking team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience. Must have experience editing short online videos (corporate videos, micro-documentaries, customer testimonials) and be well-versed in assimilating b-roll and musical scoring into the cut
  • Must be self-sufficient and able to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Must have advanced knowledge of video editing software
  • Ability to incorporate animation and motion graphics a plus
  • Ability to enhance footage (much of our footage was/is shot by staff with limited experience in videography) and highly proactive and resourceful with content and overcoming challenges
  • Strong technical communication skills and teamwork abilities
  • Experience in nonprofit storytelling
  • Interest in and ability to get up to speed quickly on microfinance and Women’s World Banking’s work

The video producer will be issued a retainer contract with Women’s World Banking for one year, with the option to extend at Women’s World Banking’s discretion.

Location of Work
Should the need arise, the video producer must have ability to travel internationally or to Women’s World Banking’s headquarters in New York City to shoot video. Editing and submission of work may be done via email and file sharing. International travel including India and Egypt may be required.
