Women’s World Banking is seeking proposals from qualified independent consultants or firms to provide Women’s World Banking with various on-call translation and interpretation services between Spanish and English. The proposals selected will be awarded on-call retainer contracts. Women’s World Banking may award contracts to multiple service providers for each service.

Objectives & Responsibilities

  • To produce high-quality translation or interpretation, often with quick turnarounds, consistent with Women’s World Banking’s tone and vocabulary
  • Documents for translation include: letters, memos, Powerpoint documents, reports and publications and video transcription
  • Simultaneous interpretation could include conferences and workshops as well as field visits to member institutions
  • Familiarity with microfinance or economic development topics preferred

Duration of Consultancy
The Consultant(s) will be on retainer for one year with possible two 1-year extensions at Women’s World Banking’s option.

Location of Work

  • Translators will be virtual, with Women’s World Banking staff available to answer questions as necessary
  • Interpreters will be on-site at the engagement
