 PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
Women’s World Banking is seeking an intern to support a variety of IT tasks within the Information Technology Team. Some of the projects included in this internship will be providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to Women’s World Banking staff globally; set up and configure new laptops with domain, needed software, and assigned user profile; in addition providing AD-MS Azure administration and support. This internship is ideal for someone planning a career in Information Technology Manage Systems. Commitments are flexible, however students must commit at least 15 hours a week for a minimum of two months. The opportunity is unpaid. Class credit may be an option.

This internship will provide the work experience that helps students or volunteers put their education into practice, develop their leadership skills and give them a competitive advantage as they pursue a permanent position. In addition, you will be exposed to different types of IT technology including cloud-based systems, which will help you to identify your career path in the future, this being Networking, Database, IT Support, System Engineering, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities
Intern will report directly to and will be evaluated by the IT Manager. The intern will have the support of the Information Technology Team for all projects and will be provided necessary resources or guidance on how to obtain needed resources.

Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to the activities listed below. Depending on need and interest, certain activities will be performed more than others.

  • Provide IT support. Support includes Tier 1 ,and 2 support to local staff in New York, in addition remote support will be required for remote staff within regular Business hours 9am-5pm. Conference Audio and Video  set up and troubleshoot for conference rooms; set up and configuration when needed for: workstations, local area network, printers, laptops and cloud based supported software troubleshooting (Box, Salesforce, Cisco Jabber, Active Directory)
  • End User Configuration. Create and configure end users profiles for supported systems and assign proper account access and credentials.
  • Laptop Configuration. Run Windows10 Systems updates, add laptops to domain, load user profiles, install supported software (BOX, Microsoft Office, MS Azure, CISCO Jabber, Skype for Business, etc.)
  • Laptop Inventory Management. Assign and record inventory tags to new laptops.
  • Knowledge Management. To assist IT team to reorganize organizations shared drive folders structure and reassign AD group permissions to staff

CANDIDATE PROFILE
The successful candidate will have:

  • Have a keen interest in computer-based information systems and technology
  • If applying for internship must be actively enrolled in an accredited Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or IT certification program and receive college credits
  • Experience with desktops, laptops, mobile devices
  • Basic network connectivity troubleshooting skills
  • Good troubleshooting skills with ability to prioritize priority level of technical issues
  • Exposure to corporate applications including Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite, BOX, Jabber, Salesforce, Skype for Business
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to interact effectively with management, staff and other personnel, and work as part of a team
  • Good research skills; accurate and prompt in delivery
  • Quick learner, energetic and positive attitude
