Bio

Laura Cox is the Director, Leadership Training Programs at Women’s World Banking.

Laura is a seasoned learning and development leader with more than 20 years of experience across the military, public, private, and non-profit sectors. She brings a deep expertise in instructional design, program strategy, and cross-cultural delivery. Prior to joining Women’s World Banking, she served as Vice President at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., where she established and led a global learning function—launching a Learning Academy, conducting learning needs analysis, and delivering digital and in-person learning across Europe, India, the U.S., and Asia.

Prior to that Laura served 11 years as a commissioned officer in the British Army’s Education and Training Services Corps, where she designed and delivered leadership development programs for officers and non-commissioned serving personnel. Her work included facilitating training on leadership, communication and diversity—often in operational environments. During this time, she also advised on the operational lessons process and managed strategic relationships for the Army.

At Women’s World Banking, Laura leads the design and implementation of leadership and learning programs that develop financial inclusion policies and build leadership capability in senior leaders and high potential women leaders. She brings a collaborative style, a deep commitment to inclusion, and a belief in the transformative power of learning to unlock potential.
