Global Policy Advocacy Specialist

Bio

Victoria Johnson is the Global Policy Advocacy Specialist at Women’s World Banking, where she drives policy and advocacy efforts to advance women’s financial inclusion and economic empowerment globally. She works with policymakers, regulators, and global partners to promote gender-responsive financial sector policies that strengthen women’s economic resilience, most notably through engagement with the G20, G7, UN, World Bank Group, and standard setting bodies.

Prior to joining Women’s World Banking, she worked in policy, research, and implementation. Victoria brings experience from USAID’s Digital Financial Services team and the World Bank’s G2Px Initiative. Victoria also implemented development and humanitarian programing across sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East through her previous work with Catholic Relief Services. She completed a Fulbright Scholarship in South Africa.

Victoria earned her M.A. in Development Economics and Human Security at Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy and her B.A. in English and history from William & Mary. She currently resides in Washington, DC.
