Women’s World Banking is seeking a podcast producer for a series of podcasts on women leaders in financial services in emerging markets.

About the Project
We are looking for a podcast producer who can provide strategic and technical guidance on the overall story of the series of leadership podcasts.


  • Supervise all aspects of pre- and post-production of podcasts
  • Provide creative direction and content ideas
  • Provide editing, music, and sound effects along with final transcript
  • Cut tape, assemble mixes, score programs

 Required Qualifications

  • Proven technical expertise in podcast production
  • Strong storyteller
  • Expert audio producer with ability to manage subjects in different locations

Specific Deliverables:

  • A series of podcast interviews with women leaders in emerging markets

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on tight timelines
  • Storytelling related to leadership skills
  • Knowledge of financial inclusion a plus

Duration of Consultancy
This work will begin in July 2019 through the end of 2019, with opportunity to extend.

Location of Work
There is no limitation to location as subjects for the podcasts will be remote (although interviewers will likely be based in New York).

Q: How many podcasts do you want produced and are they for your website or for another platform?
A: We will want between 5-10 podcasts (you can provide pricing on a per podcast basis) which will be posted on our website but also for general platforms.

Q: How long do you want the podcasts to be?
A: Between 10-17 minutes

Q: Will the podcasts be interviews only or are you wanting some or all of them to be narrative podcasts?
A: They will be interviews.

Q: Who will the interviewers be?
A: The interviewers will be Women’s World Banking staff.

Q: How many people will be on the podcast team?
A: Likely 2 – the interviewer and the story designer.

Q: Should the ‘proposal’ include an editorial proposal or just the fee and production proposal?
A:  We can accept just the fee and production proposal.
