Beth K. Roberts
Beth Roberts recently retired as a Senior Executive in Accenture’s Financial Services Practice. She previously held the roles of North American Capital Markets Industry Managing Partner and Client Managing Partner for the Capital Markets Solutions Group. In these positions she was responsible for P&L, client sales and development, strategic industry vision, and the integration of an important industry acquisition.
Ms. Roberts’ career at Accenture spanned over 27 years. She assisted financial services clients in effecting business change and high performance through both tactical initiatives and strategic, transformational programs. She provided service to her clients through extensive work in the U.S., Mexican, Puerto Rican, European, and Asian markets. Over the course of her career, Ms. Roberts developed extensive executive relationships across businesses, evolving the interactions from a transactional approach to a longer term, relationship-oriented focus.
In addition to her client responsibilities and PL roles, Ms. Roberts was also asked to lead and participate in many senior-level internal initiatives. Beth was a member of Accenture’s CEO Advisory Committee, a group of twenty partners who provide counsel and advice to the CEO of Accenture. Post IPO, Ms. Roberts was elected to be a member of the Inside Nominating Committee for the Board of Directors, and the Inside Nominating Committee to identify Accenture’s new CEO.
In addition to her achievements in consulting and outsourcing, Ms. Roberts was a passionate advocate of corporate citizenship, specifically in the area of women’s issues. Her commitment to coaching and investing in talented individuals was recognized by her leadership in Accenture’s programs to develop, advance and retain women. Ms. Roberts led the Great Place to Work for Women for Accenture’s Financial Services Practice in North America, and was a member of the firm’s Diversity Council. Ms. Roberts was also the founding Accenture Sponsor for the Susan G. Komen NY Race for the Cure and was involved in recruiting activities, both with campus recruits and experienced hires.
Ms. Roberts currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Riverdale Country School, a private independent college preparatory school in New York City. Ms. Roberts joined the FWWB USA Board of Directors in 2005 and became the Board’s Chairman in 2008. She is also member of Women’s World Banking’s Stichting Board.
Ms. Roberts received her MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Stern Graduate School of Business and her B.A. in Economics and Psychology from Emory University.
