Janet Truncale

Janet Truncale is a seasoned business leader and financial expert with over twenty-five years of experience in the global financial services marketplace. She has established a reputation as a strategic operating executive and innovative leader with direct oversight of the financial performance and growth of the firm’s financial services assurance business. Janet is a member of the EY Americas Financial Services Executive Board and brings extensive governance experience having worked with boards, audit committees and senior management to resolve complex business issues.

In her leadership role as Assurance Managing Partner of EY’s Financial Services office (FSO), Janet is responsible for strategy, operations and people management of a national practice generating $1.4b in global revenues across audit, financial accounting and advisory, and financial investigative and dispute services and encompassing 40+ cities, including the Bahamas, Bermuda and Cayman, and over 3,000 professionals.

Janet previously served as the Banking & Capital Markets Co-Sector Leader and Initial Public Offering (IPO) Leader for the FSO. She has provided assurance and advisory services to leading F500 public companies during her tenure at EY and was responsible for the development and implementation of EY’s national strategy related to IPOs. Janet’s clients have included broker-dealers, commodities traders, hedge funds, exchanges, and mortgage brokerage firms.

She has extensive experience with SEC reporting and in the research of various technical accounting issues including business combinations, consolidation, stock-based compensation, financing transactions, securitizations, derivatives and hedging activities. Janet has worked with organizations on various mergers and acquisitions, and various acquisition-related issues including purchase accounting, pro forma reporting, restructuring related items, and initial and ongoing SEC filings.

Janet received her BSE from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and her MBA from Columbia University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and is a member of the AICPA.
