Bio

Harsha Rodrigues is the head of Regional Client Services at Women’s World Banking, the global nonprofit devoted to giving more low-income women access to the financial tools and resources they require to achieve security and prosperity. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the organization’s work in select markets across South East Asia, South Asia, Africa and LAC. Working with both, financial service providers and policy makers and regulators, the regions are tasked with achieving two primary goals:

(i)      To support FSPs to increase their market share and profitability while resulting in more women being empowered through the provision of enhanced financial services.

(ii)    To influence the introduction of policies and initiatives by policymakers, regulators and other influential stakeholders that advance women’s financial inclusion, and shape the implementation of those policies relevant to building women’s economic resilience and deepening financial access for women.

Harsha has worn many hats within the organization but her expertise in the areas of strategy development and implementation and advisory support has resulted in increasing Women’s World Banking’s global footprint, reach and impact to low-income women further advancing the vision of women’s economic empowerment through financial inclusion.

Prior to joining Women’s World Banking, Harsha worked as a Management Consultant with Deloitte and was responsible for leading teams in the Health Care Practice in analyzing and implementing performance improvement strategies for multi-facility healthcare systems nationwide. Harsha leverages both her corporate and not-for-profit experience to gain a thorough understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our primary stakeholder groups in key markets to design strategies and programs that best deliver on making a difference in the lives of low-income women around the world.

Harsha holds a B.A. in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai and an MBA in International Business from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio.
