Women’s World Banking is seeking a highly motivated individual to conduct organizational monitoring & evaluation (M&E), enabling our organization to strengthen our performance and impact. The position will be responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive measurement approach to ensure continual organizational learning and accountability. You will work closely across business lines to design results frameworks, collect and report key performance indicators, analyze performance, and communicate results to a variety of stakeholders.


Insights & Performance Management Team

This position will be part of a new team within Women’s World Banking that seeks to utilize insights to drive performance and impact, through three key functions:

  • Monitor: Assessing program and operational effectiveness & efficiency and measuring results.
  • Learn: Capturing and sharing lessons and insights.
  • Improve: Establishing and operationalizing best practices, methodologies and tools.

As a shared service, the Insights & Performance Management team will work across business lines to drive performance.



The Associate, M&E will be responsible for:

  • Conducting organizational performance measurement, including:
    • Maintenance of the organizational dashboard
    • Developing clear processes and accountabilities around key performance indicators (KPIs) data collection and reporting
    • Oversight of organizational M&E platform (DevResults)
  • Designing and implementing program/project measurement frameworks, including:
    • Supporting development of measurement frameworks during project scoping, to ensure organizational alignment
    • Collaborating with programmatic staff to identify KPIs, set targets, establish data collection methods and timelines, and develop tools and templates
    • Supporting programmatic staff in timely reporting on KPIs
  • Conducting analysis of performance against targets, including:
    • Aggregating results across lines of business to inform insights
    • Identifying areas for improvement
  • Communicating performance results to internal stakeholders, and supporting conveyance to external stakeholders, including:
    • Preparing reports for Executive Management and the Board
    • Supporting fundraising and reporting to donors/ investors
    • Sharing relevant performance and impact for public communications
  • Developing a culture of continuous improvement, by:
    • Implementing standard tools and processes for M&E
    • Training staff on key M&E topics such as target-setting and using data to inform insights
    • Ensuring the right data is being used throughout the organization to drive performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in monitoring & evaluation or performance management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with international development work, particularly financial inclusion
  • Data analytics and data visualization skills
  • Experience with M&E software or platform
