 Women’s World Banking seeks a ‘Data Management Volunteer’ who brings an expertise in working on Salesforce, preparing portfolio reports and relevant MIS for the Development Team (as required). The Volunteer will report directly to the Senior Development Associate, Women’s World Banking. The position will be unpaid.

The objective of this position is to help support the team with data Management and reporting activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling Salesforce Records
  • Making sure that all records in Salesforce including Account Names, Opportunities, Donations, and Contacts are up-to-date and correctly mapped to the respective relationship managers
  • Helping to reconcile the Accounting and Salesforce records to make sure both the databases match with each other
  • Working closely with the Senior Development Associate on managing donations, including inputting gift details into the donor database in Salesforce
  • Helping maintain donor and grant databases and contracts/files, including calendaring deadlines, logging donations and tracking payments
  • Helping to track correspondence related to major donations in Salesforce, including preparing, sending and maintaining a record of donor acknowledgement letters
  • Supporting activities related to Work flow analysis and design, process improvement and developing process notes

 Additional Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting in prospect research on individual, foundation and corporate donors
  • Supporting staff with logistics associated with special events
  • Other ad-hoc responsibilities


  • Must have completed a Bachelor’s or a Master’s Degree

An ideal candidate must:

  • Have Database experience (Salesforce is highly preferred)
  • Have Computer skills like Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word and Excel

    Be detail oriented, responsible, flexible, hard‐working, and ethical.
    Have strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams
  • Be able to juggle multiple tasks

Time commitment

We anticipate a time commitment of a minimum of 20 hours per week; minimum 3-month commitment, with 6 months desirable.
