Women’s World Banking is seeking a hands-on, strategic, and detail-oriented Events Producer to lead a wide variety of events, both domestic and globally, as well as in-person and virtual environments.

Your primary role will be to lead all aspects of conferences, webinars, staff meetings and fundraising events both in the United States and internationally as well as smaller roundtables and workshops. The ideal candidate will seek out and understand the overall business objective in which the engagement sits and apply their experience to create engaging experiences through content delivery and marketing. You will ensure that all events are properly planned for and successfully executed, with particular attention to marketing the Women’s World Banking brand and maximizing impact. You will understand the role of fundraising and donor experiences as well as measuring impact.

This role will be responsible for the creation and execution of our global events strategy, in partnership with the Director of Communications and Marketing. This centers around our Making Finance Work for Women convening brand, the centerpiece of which is the bi-annual  Summit. You will also manage virtual events and keep up with the changes in the events industry as it navigates travel restrictions, improvements in events platform technologies, etc. The successful candidate will have experience managing smaller-scale events such as workshops and roundtables, including agenda development, overseeing creation of presentation materials, and logistics. You will be an excellent project manager who can oversee all aspects of events across departments. This includes managing several events con-currently, managing workloads to maintain effective operations, pushing back on scheduling where necessary, and delegating to wider team members both globally and in-markets.



  • Create and maintain global events strategy and calendar, including internal events such as monthly all-staff meetings
  • Develop content and agenda for all events, working closely with our subject matter experts;
  • Work closely with digital marketing colleagues to develop acquisition and retention plans for attendees;
  • Design framework to capture long-term metrics related to events;
  • Be an exceptional project and budget manager, delivering high quality events in a cost effective way;
  • Manage vendor and venue procurement;
  • Lead all logistics, coordination, and scheduling of events, including participant recruitment with the support of the marketing team;
  • Work closely with the Development team to create strong donor experiences to enhance engagement with Women’s World Banking;
  • Work with brand team to create look and feel for all events; and
  • Capture and share best practices on events.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Extraordinarily detail-oriented;
  • 7+ years of a proven track record successfully managing and delivering both large and small-scale events;
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship and travel globally, including to developing countries;
  • Superior writing and verbal skills; and
  • Fluent in oral and written English.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in international event planning;
  • Experience working on both brand-building and donor events;
  • Good working knowledge of digital marketing tools and event promotion
  • Ability to lead in a cross-functional environment;
  • Adept in planning, prioritizing, organizing, and follow through;
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively, and under pressure of tight deadlines;
  • Experience in facilitating workshops;
  • Experience working with Salesforce;
  • Knowledgeable of trends in events;
  • Commitment to women’s economic issues;
  • Effective people management skills; and
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or French.


Within the first 75 days:

  • Embrace Women’s World Banking’s unique characteristics and offerings so he/she will be able to understand the role all types of events play in the organization;
  • Understand Women’s World Banking brand guidelines and how that translates into events;
  • Assume full responsibility for all events currently in the planning stages, including Making Finance Work for Women (both in New York and Southeast Asia) Review existing events protocol and refine as needed.
