Summary
Women’s World Banking is seeking a volunteer to provide support for a FinTech Innovation Challenge we will host alongside our bi-annual Making Finance Work for Women Summit on October 22-23 in Singapore. This would be part time (10-15 hours a week) volunteer role with a commitment from July 1 – October 15, 2019.

About Women’s World Banking
Women’s World Banking is the global leader in women’s financial inclusion. Rooted in our deep understanding of the women’s market, we tackle financial inclusion in three interconnected ways: first, by partnering with financial services providers to develop scalable market-driven solutions; second, through our gender-lens private equity fund; and, finally, because diverse institutions are proven to be stronger, we build institutional capacity through leadership and diversity programs. Through this holistic approach and our global reach of 49 institutions in 32 countries, we accelerate economic opportunity for low-income women and growth for financial service providers in the emerging markets.

About the Project
Women’s World Banking is hosting its biennial global summit, Making Finance Work for Women, in Singapore on October 22nd-23rd, 2019. The two-day event will bring together financial service providers, donors, investors, and researchers to engage with leaders in financial inclusion and work in interactive environments to better understand how to make finance work for women.

This year, we will host a FinTech Innovation Challenge alongside the summit. The challenge will identify and support FinTech companies that are leveraging technology to develop new and innovative solutions to help unbanked and underserved women build security by establishing safety nets to mitigate against economic shocks or build economic prosperity to build their business and household income. The finalists will pitch to a panel of judges at the Summit comprised of Women’s World Banking leaders and industry experts and the winner of the Making Finance Work for Women FinTech Innovation Challenge will move on as a finalist at the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Global Fintech Hackelerator Demo Day (powered by KPMG Digital Village) at the Singapore FinTech Festival.
