Women’s World Banking is looking for a Learning and Growth Senior Specialist with a proven record of accomplishments to own the development, design and delivery of training programs. You will work closely with functional leaders across the organization to assess development needs and be a key player in building a culture of continuous learning. Curriculum design areas will include financial sector programs, leadership competencies and soft skills. This role will ensure that employees at all levels of the organization have access to development and growth opportunities and will support a 75+ growing employee base. The ideal person in this role will have experience working in a globally diverse organization on differing time zones.

This role is remote but may be required to be in our New York City Headquarters as needed.



Training Program Design and Delivery (80%)

  • Partner with Head of Human Resources to develop an annual strategy for learning and development
  • Provide day-to-day talent development guidance to our business line leaders and regional heads located in Nigeria, South Asia and Southeast Asia
  • Provide thought leadership on the best methods to develop leaders and individual contributors
  • Analyze learning needs and partner with subject matter experts to provide input for course content
  • Ensure all leadership development programs and initiatives are aligned to the agreed relevant schedule, budget, and objectives
  • Monitor the success of individual development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
  • Design selected leadership development courses/solutions to be utilized regionally and globally
  • Develop metrics to assess the success of training and programs
  • Select and deploy a Learning Management System (LMS)

Other Responsibilities (20%)

  • Help drive a robust onboarding program
  • Revise functional level competencies as needed
  • Ad hoc projects


Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and five to seven years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs
  • Demonstrated experience working in organizational development, training, or leadership development.
  • Experience creating and managing D&I metrics that measure the progress and effectiveness of a D&I strategy
  • Certification in leadership development programs, such as MBTI, DiSC, DDI, or similar preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and rigorous attention to detail
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively within a multi-cultural environment and with people from diverse cultures and countries
  • Must have excellent internal and external customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions
  • Highly proficient technological skills, especially in e-learning platforms and LMS
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize work according to urgency and importance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred
  • Experience working in a global organization
