Women’s World Banking seeks a planning and monitoring consultant as a short-term role to support Women’s World Banking’s organizational performance management in India. The consultant will work closely with the Advisory and M&E team to implement and continuously improve organizational and program-level monitoring systems, as well as support financial planning and monitoring. This role is for approximately 6 months starting in February 2020.

The consultant’s responsibilities may include the below:

  • Support development of high quality data analysis and insights
  • Support in financial planning, monitoring and reporting across projects
  • Support ongoing analysis, monitoring and reporting against project KPIs
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the project performance to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support development of external budgets and reports for donors
  • Support development and update of internal budgets and finance reports for individual projects
  • Support in selecting and supervising consultants, and reviewing deliverables as needed
  • Perform other functions as assigned by the Project Manager / Lead

  • Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to synthesize data and information to provide a high-level view which is accessible to a range of audiences;
  • Excellent spreadsheet and excel skills and the ability to summarize disparate information in a clear and concise manner
  • Supports a culture of excellence, openness, and the encouragement of new ideas;
  • Strong organizational skills in order to balance competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently to efficiently meet deadlines
  • Good communication and time management skill
  • Ability to create organizational work plans based on higher-level goals

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in related field including business, finance, economics, etc.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a business analyst, data analyst or financial planning analyst
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required;
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, communication and meeting facilitation skills;
  • Clear, fast business communications expertise including written analysis, meeting management and presentations;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently;
  • Ability to work with remote teams;
  • Interest in the field of financial inclusion, including gender

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to financial services and/or banking products and services
  • Exposure to Indian / US based non-profit financial management
  • Experience in fund raising and investor / donor management
