Summary:

Women’s World Banking is looking for a Relationship Manger to join a forward thinking, cross-functional, high-performing, collaborative team focused on delivering innovative customer experiences, banking services and products, that create business and customer value to serve low-income women. You will play an instrumental role in developing Women’s World Banking’s business and positioning Women’s World Banking as a thought leader in Financial Inclusion and Women’s Economic Empowerment in India.

This is a demanding role where success is contingent on spanning multiple sectors and business lines. You will be expected to understand business and customer needs, carry out strategic projects, and provide excellent service delivery for our clients and stakeholders. This role is responsible for managing the client relationships, external relationships with key stakeholders and drive execution of solutions in one of Women’s Word Banking’s tier one markets, India. Your proactive approach to promoting Women’s World Banking solutions proposals and encouraging Network member connections, as well as your strong communication and influencing skills will ensure strong Network Membership, Member engagement and Services for growth for Women’s World Banking.

The ideal candidate will have a background in banking / insurance / financial services or consulting. You must be a strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and propose new ideas for ways of engaging Women’s World Banking’s target audience.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain positive and constructive relationships with key client contacts
  • Initiate and hand hold the project through the early stages of the project
  • Develop, and drive execution of high priority business initiatives, financial products and services for the partner FSPs
  • Achieve country plan objectives by building effective relationships (new and existing) with network members
  • Co-ordinate and present regular business and industry updates
  • Ensure positive client satisfaction results
  • Be the “voice of the clients” by interpreting the clients’ business plans and strategic intent into the Women’s World banking organization

2. Business Development

  • Research and develop a regional prospect pipeline of for prospective clients, financial intermediaries, strategic partners and institutional funders for India.
  • Development and execution of business strategies and business plans by determining the appropriate resources and capacity that needs to be built to deliver this plan on time and with the desired real impact to low income women customers
  • Work with the development teams to raise funding in advance for the proposed country plans.
  • Help develop and refine Women’s World Banking’s Value Proposition for India

3. Growth of India Operations

  • Execute strategic projects to help set up and maintain Women’s World Banking’s regional operations in India

 

Required Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in related field
  • 10+ years or more experience in banking, financial services, consulting or other relevant role.
  • Experience in business development, relationship management, and project management will be valued
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and successfully manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels in an organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in the field of women’s financial inclusion and economic empowerment
  • Has a strong sales orientation with a “can-do” attitude. Inspires and lead teams, is hands on and operationally strong.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within India, and be on-site for extended durations.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with in retail sales will be valued.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and successfully achieve objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines;
  • Proven collaborative, negotiation, and persuasion skills to influence field teams & senior management at partner institutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; and ability to work with remote teams.
