Women’s World Banking is seeking a videography team to produce a short documentary-style video of our insurance work in the Middle East.

About Women’s World Banking
Women’s World Banking is the global non-profit devoted to giving more low-income women access to the financial tools and resources essential to their security and prosperity. For more than 35 years we have worked with financial institutions to show them the benefit of investing in women as clients, and as leaders. We equip these institutions to meet women’s needs through authoritative market research, leadership training, sustainable financial products and consumer education. Headquartered in New York, Women’s World Banking works with 40 institutions in 29 countries with a reach of 16 million women to create access to finance on a greater scale than ever before.

Objectives and Responsibilities
Women’s World Banking worked with Microfund for Women in Jordan to develop a health microinsurance product tailored to the needs of low-income women. We have built upon the success and lessons learned from this project and adapted the product in partnership with financial institutions in three additional countries: Morocco, Uganda and Egypt.

This short video project aims to demonstrate the value of microinsurance in the lives of low-income clients. The following footage will be collected: stories of clients (who they are, what jobs they have, and what their socio-economic conditions) and operations of the insurance product (from both the institution’s and the insurance company’s perspective), including how the featured clients are using the product.

Planning and storyboarding will commence as soon as the vendor is hired, in close partnership with Women’s World Banking. Filming is slated for early April 2016. Post-production must be completed and the final 3- to 5-minute video to be finalized no later than May 31, 2016. All raw files must be provided to Women’s World Banking at the conclusion of the engagement.

  • Collaborative approach to planning and storyboarding
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Ability to work in small, nimble team: maximum 2 on video team
