Women’s World Banking is looking for a Specialist, Advisory Services, to join a forward thinking, high-performing, collaborative team focused on delivering innovative customer experiences, banking services and products that create business and customer value to serve low-income women.

S/he will support the Advisory Service Lead to provide advisory services to enable our client-partners to effectively reach and serve low-income women with relevant financial services. S/He will manage project work plans as well as meet project milestones and targets in order to ensure delivery of project results on time and on budget. S/He will be responsible for internal reporting as well as external reporting to international funders.

The ideal candidate will have a background in banking / insurance / financial services, most likely through experience in micro, SME or consumer banking, insurance, financial services corporate strategy, financial services consulting and/or international non-profit instiutions. S/He must be a strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and propose new ideas for ways of engaging the target audience through innovative & customer-centric solutions.


You will:

  • Support the Advisory Services Lead in project management
  • Support technical work, which includes customer research, gathering and analyzing client-partner background information, design and support the ideation process to develop solution, gather current market intelligence on market trends
  • Develop project deliverables, monitoring reports, and presentations
  • Develop a strong understanding of the financial inclusion context in Indonesia and, combined with own experience & perspectives, develop solutions that can increase women’s financial inclusion through client-partner organisations
  • Establish relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and customer needs, continually enhance project processes, and provide excellent service delivery for client-partners

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or MBA, MPP, master’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • 6-8+ years of total work experience in banking, financial services, consulting, international non-profit institutions or other relevant role
  • Experience in savings, credit, insurance, digital financial services will be valued
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in consulting and/or a project-based role
  • Experience in applied design, including customer behavioral research, ideation, prototyping, and user testing
  • Experience and knowledge in research and design process to develop solutions
  • Intellectual curiosity demonstrated in creative solution-seeking
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; and ability to work with remote teams
  • Interest in the field of financial inclusion, including gender
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within Indonesia, but could include other developing countries
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, a must
