Women’s World Banking is looking for a team member to join a forward thinking, cross-functional, high-performing, collaborative team focused on delivering innovative customer experiences, banking services and products, that create business and customer value to serve low-income women.

S/He will use data, insights and market intelligence to design customer-centric channel solutions that solve financial inclusion problems for low income women in India.

The ideal candidate has experience in working & managing last mile channels in banking, financial services or telecom industry. Must be a strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and propose new ideas for ways of improving the effectiveness of banking agents in India. Projects may vary in number, size and complexity.



  1. Provide technical expertise and leadership on program activities that focus on agent and banking correspondent networks.
    • Identify opportunities to contribute to improving and scaling last mile delivery through improvements in channel design including recruitment, training remuneration structures and technology solutions.
    • Work directly with Financial Service providers (Public Sector Banks, Banking Correspondent network managers, MFIs, FPOs, SHG Groups etc.) to build and scale agent networks to drive financial inclusion
    • Use customer and agent data & market insights to design solutions towards building customer-centric products & delivery channels
    • Provide field based expertise, insights and recommendations aimed towards innovative solutions, including technology and agent network management recommendations, for increasing last mile delivery of financial services
  1. Drive adoption of innovative channel solutions-Basis own experience & perspective support the execution of innovative solutions with institution partners.
    • Develop & execute data driven business models for channel enhancements to prove effectiveness, viability and scalability of solutions in field.
    • Establish relationships and work with a cross-functional teams (internal and partner bank’s) to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
    • Coordinate among various external support organisations such as last mile agencies (training, corporate BCs etc.) and local government bodies (state / region level) to drive project success.


Required Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in related field
  • 8+ years of sales/ channel experience in banking, financial services, telecom industry
  • Interest in the field of financial inclusion, including gender;
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within India and other developing countries; and
  • Fluency in English, a must.

  • Clear, fast business communications expertise including written analysis, meeting management and presentations;
  • Collaborate with various partner teams to inform end customer experiences based on our data capabilities;
  • Proven collaborative, negotiation, and persuasion skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; and ability to work with remote teams.
