Women’s World Banking is seeking a web firm with expertise on WordPress sites to provide website development, maintenance, and design on an on-going basis.

ABOUT WOMEN’S WORLD BANKING

In order for more low-income women to have access to financial products than ever before, Women’s World Banking works closely with its global network of 49 financial institutions from 31 countries to create new credit, savings, and insurance products specifically designed for the unique needs of low-income women.

Institutions in our network are committed to serving women as clients, innovators, and leaders. Women’s World Banking has found new ways to help women build financial safety nets, by showing a broader range of financial institutions how to move beyond traditional microfinance to provide financial products that include savings and insurance.

OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Women’s World Banking is looking for a firm to provide ongoing development support and design support to an existing WordPress-based website-based community site. The consultant will work directly with the digital marketing lead of the Marketing and Communications Team.

MAINTENANCE

  • Routine CMS, security and plug-in updates
  • Salesforce integration maintenance
  • Authorize.net integration maintenance
  • Responsive design and browser compatibility checks on any updates
  • Pro-actively suggest updates and efficiencies

ON-GOING DEVELOPMENT

  • Optimizing analytics

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years developing websites and web applications, especially WordPress
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, Javascript, PHP
  • Knowledge of EVSSL implementation
  • Dedicated project manager and strong track record of project management
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required with experience working with team
  • High responsiveness and quick turnaround
  • Expertise in integrations with Salesforce and Authorize.net required
  • Hands-on experience developing web applications with responsive web design
  • Ability to weigh editorial and design concerns against technical constraints
  • Ability to follow design guidelines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise in Uncode Wordpress Template
  • Expertise in Java/ Flash a plus
  • Google Ads/ remarketing
  • Experience with Form Assembly
  • Communicate needs and expectations clearly and flag risks or delays immediately
  • Graphic design ability (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects) a plus
  • Expertise in UX, SEO a plus
  • Experience with multiple language versions of a site a plus
  • Bilingual a plus

 DURATION

This is a one-year engagement with the option to extend. Women’s World Banking is looking for a maximum of 15 hours/month retainer.

 LOCATION OF WORK

The services will be done virtually and the primary communication channel will be through email. Though rare, workday phone calls (EST) should be expected.
